Aloe vera is good for pets

Yes, it is good for pets. Here are some of its benefits:

  • Allergies. It’s ideal for treating skin allergies such as rashes, or inflammation. These symptoms could be caused by a skin or food allergy that causes hives.
  • Hair loss. Hair loss is not normal, especially when it’s not shedding season. It could be a sign of a disease or an infection. Aloe vera is the perfect antidote for treating it. Even if for some reason, there were completely bald areas, it’s possible this plant could help it grow back.
  • Wounds. Aloe vera is perfect for treating wounds due to its gelatinous texture, which has a regenerating effect and helps scarring. In addition, it works as a protective layer on wounds to prevent your pet from getting any infections.
  • Organ damage. Aloe vera also is beneficial as a drink. Aloe vera juice could help your dog regain function in damaged organs, as well as detoxifying his body.
  • Hormones. Animals also have hormone problems, such as imbalances. Aloe vera is made out of minerals like zinc, magnesium, and others that help regulate the body and proper hormone function.

What else?

These are just some ways aloe vera benefits your pets. You can also use it for other things, such as tumors; even if it’s not the cure, it can decrease cell growth. This plant is usually for topical use, although you can also use it as a juice. Therefore, before giving it to your dog orally, ask your veterinarian if it’s suitable for your pet. Even if it is a natural compound, you should never risk it.

As for applying it on the skin, you can do in two ways: just by covering the infected area with the trunk of the plant or by creating a homemade aloe vera cream for your pet. How can you make it?

It’s as simple as mixing the aloe vera juice with a little bit of oil, which will act as an emulsifier. If you want, you can add a touch of gelatin so it’s a bit creamier. You will see how it alleviates your pet’s skin problems.
