It is a sport that allows him to run, jump, climb, have fun and most importantly burn his remaining energy.

Go out and run. Or take your dog to a park where he can walk freely and interact with others.

If you don´t have the time or strength, ask a friend or family member to help you take care of your dog´s physical needs.  If you are financial capable, hire a good walker or enroll you dog at a school that offers competitive sports.

It is true a dog will be bored if it can´t properly release its overflowing energy . If you do not provide it the necessary stimulus, behavioral problems will begin.

So remember, it’s not the dog´s fault. In today’s world your dog no longer pulls a sled or takes care of flocks.  Look for some alternative activities, because their energy is still there.
