Thank You for Your Loyalty
Dogs are known for their loyalty and for their service to humans. We are 100% sure that they would be willing to give their lives for us. It’s something we learn by having a pet.
Have you ever wondered where dogs get their incredible sense of loyalty? Well, remember that dogs are descendants of wolves, so when a dog is not the leader, as is the case with pets, he is submissive, and therefore loyal.
For dogs, it is very important to belong to a group, whether it be a group of people or animals. It is one of their innate needs to feel like they are a part of something and believe that someone loves and cares for them.
Then when dogs began to be domesticated, they created a special bond with human beings. The bond allows us to understand and love each other unconditionally.
How loyal is your dog to you? Do you think your dog deserves to be thanked for it? How should you show your gratitude? One dog owner decided to thank their dog in a letter, and this is what they said.
I don’t know how to thank you for your loyalty
You were a gift, and I was not entirely convinced that I wanted a new housemate, but there you were, and I couldn’t return you. My love for animals made me keep you, and that was one of the best choices I have ever made!
I never regretted it, because ever since that first day you looked at me, I fell in love with you. I no longer wanted to be apart from you. When you began showing me your loyalty day after day, my love for you grew more than I ever imagined.
Sometimes I scolded you and even gave you a slight pop on the butt. You were scared and hid and I thought you would never look at me again. But after a while you were there, with your bowed head, kissing any part of my body that was in sight.
You are my hero
You did this time and time again though. You actually fought with dogs who were bigger than you, who you believed were attacking me. If you saw a friend arguing with me, you wouldn’t like them anymore. It didn’t matter if the other person was right; it simply bothered you. All you knew was that you loved me and would do anything for me.
Thank you for your eternal loyalty
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Today, you are an old boy, and you can hardly move. Now, it’s my turn to give back to you and repay you for everything you did for me. To show you that your loyalty is paid back with my loyalty.
I’m not going to abandon you and I’m not going to put you down. Instead, I’m going to give you the best life I can during your final days. I’m going to make sure that you die as happy as you lived. Because you deserve it and because you were loyal, and now it’s my turn to be loyal to you.
I don’t know how I’m going to get used to living without you. Truly, I don’t know if anyone in my life has ever come close to the degree of loyalty you’ve shown me. For that, for everything you did for me and for how happy you made me, thank you, thank you and a thousand times, thank you.
