Camila O.Thomas

Art historian

An art historian. She has participated in national and international conferences, as well as being a teaching assistant during her time as a student. She was a workshop leader at the National Art Gallery of Caracas and has several open lines of research. She also works as a writer and editor for different digital media.

About the author

Graduated in History of Western Art from the Central University of Venezuela (2021). In 2017 and 2018 she worked as a teacher's assistant in the Plastic Arts I and Plastic Arts II subjects She has participated in various student research meetings and national and international conferences. Among these are the Meeting of Young Critics at the Andrés Bello Catholic University, the Latin American Student Forum of Anthropology and Archeology, and the International History Congress sponsored by the National History Center of Venezuela.

Currently, Camila is a workshop leader at the National Art Gallery in Caracas, Venezuela. Her main lines of research are the presence of the racialized subject in 19th century painting and diversity in modern and contemporary art. She has also specialized in creating content for digital platforms, so she combines her facet as a historian with one as a writer and editor.
